Located in the Educational Complex, the McCoy Studio Theater is an intimate "black box" theater seating up to 250 for small-scale performances, seminars, and meetings. This flexible space features an omni-directional lighting grid and movable stage and seating areas for conventional or cabaret performances. The McCoy Studio Theater is the perfect place for a theater play, an educational seminar, photo shoot or as a rental to meet your needs.
Capped by a translucent skylight roof made from 288 glass panels, which glow like the setting sun when lit at night and reach to a 50-foot apex, the Yokouchi Pavilion offers ample space for a wide variety of occasions and uses. With textured concrete flooring is framed by columns clad in Travertine tile, the Yokouchi Pavilion can easily be enclosed with decorative wood grills made from African mahogany. These panels fit between the columns and are raised or lowered for privacy and comfort, providing 4,096 square feet of interior function space. This venue is flexible and can be arranged with chair seating, table seating, standing room only, bleachers or a relaxed setting with beach chairs and blankets. It has been host to such big-name talent as: Elton John, Jimmy Buffett, the Doobie Brothers, the Eagles, the Who, Sting, UB40, Journey, Bob Dylan, Earth Wind & Fire, Santana, Pearl Jam, Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King, Ziggy Marley, Prince, and many other renowned entertainers. MACC also uses this venue for its signature fundraiser events, Maui Calls and Maui Brewers Festival. The MACC's Community Events Lawn is a flat, grassy mixed-use area that serves well for concerts and special events. It is the MACC's second large outdoor lawn area -- in addition to the A&B Amphitheater -- ideally suited for concerts, festivals and a variety of other events. The 25,500 sq. ft. space can accommodate 4,000 theater-style, 1,500 for a reception and 1,000 for banquets.
