The Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s $15.9 million capital and endowment fundraising campaign was quietly started in 2001, and reached its goal to meet the Kresge Foundation challenge on December 16, 2005. The MACC has applied for the $750,000 challenge funds to finalize the campaign effort for the Kresge Foundation Challenge. Thanks to the support of our Maui community and other advocates of the MACC, the campaign exceeded its goal.

As construction cost continue to soar, The Center’s board of directors is committed to continuing the campaign effort to exceed the campaign goal even further, in order to keep up with the rising cost of construction and to continue its vision to build out Stage 3 as planned. The funds will continue be used to improve services and facilities, expand community use, increase earned income potential and strengthen the legacy in support of Center programs.

A special Mahalo! to all those that helped to meet the Kresge Foundation Challenge by December 31, 2005. We did it, thanks to you!
