The Silver Medal winner in the 2017 Van Cliburn Piano Competition, Kenny Broberg has been playing since the age of six, and training like an athlete to compete for the prize in the most prestigious classical music contest in the world (held only every four years).

A native of Minnesota, the 23-year-old pianist is pursuing graduate studies in Kansas City, while performing and competing in concert halls from Sydney to Seattle.

The program for his concert at the MACC will include:

J. S. Bach - Toccata in C Minor, BWV 911
Samuel Barber - Sonata for Piano, op. 26
