As a kick-off to the MAMo at the MACC event on Saturday, June 2, the MACC presents a special "Talk Story With The Designers" event.  The event will feature two of the MAMo at the MACC designers and is free with seating on a first come, first served basis.  No advance reservations are available. Light refreshments will be served.  An early arrival is suggested to guarantee a seat. 

Micah Kamohoaliʻi - Dezigns by Kamohoali‘i

Dezigns by Kamohoali‘i share foundational values of Hawaiian culture with its audience through art and design.  Created by Kumu Micah Kamohoali‘i, this line of clothing strives to educate in the ways of Hawaiian designs, metaphoric imagery, cultural significance with strong symbolisms and interpretations. 

Kanoelani Davis - PōMahina Designs

Kanoelani Davis is a true kama o Hina (child of the goddess Hina), a native woman of Molokaʻi, whose roots extend back to the first Hawaiians. She is a lifelong cultural practitioner and torchbearer for the survival of many Hawaiian art forms.  Her dedication to culture, her activism for cultural awareness and her love for design have been woven together and are manifest in her native Hawaiian clothing and accessory design company, PōMahina Designs.
