MAMo at the MACC Wearable Art Show, presented by Maui Arts & Cultural Center and the PA’I Foundation, is now in its fifth consecutive year!

The MAMo event was launched in Honolulu in 2006. A component of the Maoli Arts Movement, this Wearable Art Show celebrates Hawaiian design in fabric and clothing specifically in terms of cultural motif — definitely NOT a typical fashion show! Many traditional Hawaiian patterns and designs ( as those in kapa and weaving, weaponry and tools, tattoo and adornment) take their visual clues from nature.

This fashion event grows in popularity each year. Don’t miss this unique experience!

This year's designers include Kanoelani Davis (PōMahina Designs), Anna Kahalekulu (Kūlua Designs), Micah Kamohoaliʻi (Dezigns by Kamohoali‘i), Kawika Lum-Nelmida (Kawika Lum Designs), Lufi Luteru (Pāwehi Creations)Keoua Nelsen (iHala), Kēhaulani Nielson (Kahulale'ā), Ari South, and  Meilin Vitale Vae (Missing Polynesia).
