Small business owners, start-ups, and entrepreneurs interested in taking their business to the next level are encouraged to attend the first-ever Hawai‘i Small Business Conference.

On Wednesday, May 3, conference attendees will have an opportunity to network with innovative business leaders and hear their insights, best practices, and tricks of the trade on various topics, including customer service, marketing, data security, and risk management. Wednesday’s conference sessions take place in the MACC's McCoy Studio Theater.

On Thursday, May 4, workshops will be led by experts in customer service, tax strategies, human resources, and marketing. Thursday’s workshops take place in the MACC's Haynes and Alexa Higashi meeting rooms.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Design, Protect, Engage: Small Business Strategies for Success.” Small business dominates Hawai‘i's economic landscape, making up over 90 percent of the business community and employing half of our state’s employees. This conference aims to provide many of these businesses with the rare opportunity to increase their business knowledge and sharpen their professional acumen and skills.

The conference is copresented by the Maui Economic Development Board and the Mayor's Office of Economic Development.
