Celebrating their reunion and Hawaiian Music, Nā Palapalai returns to the MACC for a FREE music and hula celebration in the A&B Amphitheater and Yokouchi Pavilion.
Note: This event was originally planned to happen at the Grand Wailea, but has been moved to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.  All are welcome and no  RSVP or event ticket will be needed for this FREE community event.  Come on over, and bring your friends!

 

Seven of Maui’s hālau will dance with the group and perform together under the stars. Participating hālau include:

Kumu Hula Keali’i Reichel, Hālau Kealaokamaile; Kumu Hula Nāpua Greig, Hālau Nā Lei Kaumaka O Uka; Kumu Hula Kahulu Maluo, Hālau Kamaluokaleihulu; Nā Kumu Hula Iliahi & Haunani Paredes, Hālau Kekuaokala’au’ala’iliahi; Kumu Hula Kamaka Kukona, Hālau O Ka Hanu Lehua; Nā Kumu Hula Kapono’ai Molitau & Sissy Lake Farm, Hālau Nā Hanona Kulike O Pi’ilani; and Kumu Hula Hōkύlani Holt, Pā'ū O Hi’iaka.

 

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lauhala mats, or low-back chairs to relax on the lawn in an informal, local-style, family-friendly atmosphere. Chair seating will be available for kupuna so all generations can enjoy an evening of music and hula. Nā Palapalai merchandise will be available for purchase, including CDs, shirts, Ni'ihau earrings & jewelry.

 

Food and beverage will be available for purchase, including food trucks serving up a variety of tasty meals and desserts. 
Please note: no large bags/duffels, backpacks, or outside food or beverage can be allowed into the amphitheater.
