TEDxMaui 2013

Created in the spirit of TED, TEDxMaui an independently organized event, licensed by TED. TED stands for technology, entertainment and design, and is a national nonprofit organization devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading.” This daylong event will feature presenters and performers from Maui and beyond who have the passion, curiosity and creativity to change the world with their revolutionary ideas. The final list of presenters for “The Dream is Real” is posted on the TEDxMaui.com website. (see link below) Local presenters include Native Hawaiian waterman Archie Kalepa, Hawaiian master navigator and wayfinder Chad Kalepa Baybayan, musican and protest poet Makana, and WenLu Duffy, 16-year old violinist and composer.
Early ticket-buyers can register as an attendee at TedxMaui.com to gain access to a TEDxMaui Facebook group that will allow participants to engage with other attendees prior to the event. See Facebook.com/tedxmaui or follow on Twitter @tedxmaui
Coffee, tea, iced water and a healthy snack will be provided to ticket-holders along with a boxed lunch. A limited amount of breakfast items will be available for purchase in the courtyard. No-host reception will follow the presentations, 5:30-7:30 pm, with food and drinks available for purchase in the courtyard and live music with special guest musicians.
