  • About

Photo Journalist, Matthew Thayer, has been on the Maui scene covering people, sports, entertainment, and events for 30 years.

In addition to a selection of B&W and color images, the exhibit will chronicle the old-school still camera photojournalism and feature a fabrication of The Maui News’ darkroom in the gallery.

By contrast, the modern tools of digital cameras, computers, and the Internet will continue the exhibit’s visual dialog, and showcase the history and evolution of the news.
