Taiji Terasaki: Reset/Reshape

Conceived against the backdrop of the momentous COVID-19 pandemic, Taiji Terasaki’s exhibit RESET/RESHAPE delves into the complex societal and personal impacts of global events through themes of health, loss, and healing. The artist’s multi-disciplinary approach includes works on paper, video, and sculpture layered with an interactive Augmented Reality (AR) experience, offering a chance for reflection and encouraging innovation as a force for positive change.

Conceived against the backdrop of the momentous COVID-19 pandemic, Taiji Terasaki’s exhibit RESET/RESHAPE delves into the complex societal and personal impacts of global events through themes of health, loss, and healing. The artist’s multi-disciplinary approach includes works on paper, video, and sculpture layered with an interactive augmented reality (AR) experience, offering a chance for reflection and encouraging innovation as a force for positive change.

For the exhibition's Augmented Reality (AR) experience through the Taiji Terasaki app, you can plan ahead and download it to your mobile device or you can use one of the gallery's iPads upon entry into the gallery.  CLICK HERE to download from the Apple store.  CLICK HERE to download from the Google Play Store. 
 
Taiji Terasaki was born in Los Angeles, California and currently lives in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. He attended UC Irvine, Cal State Long Beach and Hunter College in New York. His Exhibition Transcendients was recently at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles.

Face masks required for entry until further notice. Admission is free.
