This invitational layers two of the MACC’s exhibits program goals: to support artists in their exploration of new and innovative work and to share resources and expertise in collaboration with other organizations. Working together with the Maui Coastal Land Trust organization, we have invited a select group of 25 talented artists on Maui to visit the environments of selected MCLT properties. Their work in both traditional and nontraditional use of materials will investigate and interpret the unique qualities of the island and bring a new awareness about land conservation.
