As the MACC crosses its 30-year milestone, this exhibition takes a look at the unique ways that the Center and its Schaefer International Gallery have come into being as a home for a spectrum of visual and performing arts expression through the years. This includes a showcase of the MACC’s Permanent Collection of Art & Craft, a unique undertaking that combined architecture with commissioned works of art to pioneer the Center in its construction as a holistic arts experience. The installation will integrate archives, models, and artwork in a retrospective highlight of the many memorable, emotional, innovative, and surprising events that have taken place at the MACC over three decades.
Public Event: ACTIVATIONS: After Hours at the Gallery Friday, May 30 from 5 – 8 pm
This edition of ACTIVATIONS features performing and musical artists who will bring to life the artworks of the Permanent Collection across the MACC. Food and beverage offerings available for purchase during the event.
