The MACC will be collecting donations for the Maui Food Bank during this event. We ask that our patrons bring needed items for those impacted by the wildfires. Donation bins will be located near the MACC's main entry gates. Ticket holders who bring donations will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win an autographed poster and a merchandise bundle.
Henry Kapono's Artist 2 Artist concert series returns for the 8th season!
Highlighting the emerging stars of the Henry Kapono Foundation’s (HKF) On the Rise program while celebrating Hawaiʻi’s iconic musical legendary group Hawaiian Style band to celebrate the timeless legacy of Hawaiʻi’s music.
Native Hawaiian Henry Kapono is a Grammy-nominated and multi-award-winning singer-songwriter known for his soulful voice and captivating performances. Rising to fame in the '70s as one half of the iconic duo Cecilio & Kapono (C&K), Henry continues to inspire sold-out audiences worldwide. With a career spanning decades, he has expanded his roles to include film producer, music director, and community leader. In 2018, he established The Henry Kapono Foundation to support Hawaiʻi's music industry through programs, grants, education, and resources.
In the early '90s, Hawaiian Style Band, led by Bryan Kessler and Wade Cambern, redefined contemporary Hawaiian music. They are credited with launching a fresh musical perspective on local culture with original compositions about living Hawaiian style; island romance, talking story, 'ohana, and sovereignty. Kessler and Cambern are credited with writing & producing Hawaiian Style Band's first three albums and their interpretation of Hawaiian language songs reacquaints music fans with these important compositions and have resulted in multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards. Recreating the magic, award winning and female voice of Hawai'i - Robi Kahakalau, joins the multi-talented Bryan and Wade in delivering this distinctive vocal harmony of Hawaiian Style Band in this exclusive and intimate show.
Ryan Hooley's musical journey began at the age of 9 when his church leader encouraged him to learn the ukulele, sparking a lifelong passion for music. Inspired by Phillip Phillips' rendition of Home at the Olympics, Ryan taught himself guitar, driven by the desire to evoke the same emotions in others. Growing up in the local music industry and guided by mentors like renowned musician Brother Noland, Ryan honed his skills and found inspiration in the beauty of Hawaiʻi’s land and ocean. In 2024, Ryan released his first self titled album. With his infectious passion for music and dedication to his craft, Ryan's professional musical journey is just beginning.
