The MACC will be collecting donations for the Maui Food Bank during this event. We ask that our patrons bring needed items for those impacted by the wildfires. Donation bins will be located near the MACC's main entry gates. Ticket holders who bring donations will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win an autographed poster and a post-show meet & greet with Justin Kawika Young!
For nearly three decades, Justin Kawika Young has been quietly writing the soundtrack to people’s lives.
Born and raised in Hawai‘i, Justin first built his reputation in the islands, earning eleven #1 hits on Hawai‘i radio before relocating to Los Angeles, where his songwriting and warm, unmistakable voice found an even wider audience.
A natural collaborator, Justin connected with fellow singer-songwriters including Colbie Caillat, eventually touring with her as an acoustic guitarist and background vocalist and co-writing songs for her album All Of You. In 2019, Justin and Caillat formed the band Gone West, debuting at the Grand Ole Opry and reaching the Top 25 at Country Radio with their single What Could Have Been. The group has since surpassed 30 million streams on Spotify.
Throughout his career, Justin’s music has traveled under several names — Justin, Justin Young, and now Justin Kawika Young — but the heart behind it has never changed. His songs carry the rhythm of island life and the honesty of a songwriter more interested in emotional truth than spectacle.
Today Justin balances his role as lead vocalist for Seven Suns with an intimate solo show that brings his catalog back to its roots — voice, guitar, and story.
His performances feel less like concerts and more like conversations — songs about love, distance, memory, and the moments that shape us.
After nearly 30 years of songwriting, Justin is still doing what he’s always done best: holding on to moments long enough to turn them into songs.
