The MACC will be collecting donations for the Maui Food Bank during this event. We ask that our patrons bring needed items for those impacted by the wildfires. Donation bins will be located near the MACC's main entry gates.
Jason Cheny is a Taiwanese American stand-up comedian based in Los Angeles. Jason has toured all over Asia — including Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan — as well as comedy clubs all across the US. He is a regular at the Comedy Cellar in NYC, and he has opened for Iliza Shlesinger, Ronny Chieng, and Phil Wang. Jason can be seen on Laughs for Fox/Hulu, and his comedy album Growing Pains debuted at #1 on iTunes.
Born and raised in Taiwan and in the U.S. Jason brings a cross-cultural perspective, and a goofy personality to his stand-up shows. Jason points out social absurdities within his family, upbringing, and the society in which he constantly tries to find his belonging. He expresses his frustration and confusion on stage, in a way that feels the most truthful to him. He has appeared on Comedy Central’s Featuring, Don’t Tell Comedy, Kevin Hart's LOL Network on SiriusXM, and won a couple of stand-up comedy contests including The World Series of Comedy main event in Las Vegas.
