In multi-day workshops led by MACC artist-in-residence Wes Bruce, students will explore nature, self, and the human spirit through drawing, painting, and writing. Sessions will focus on energy (breath-work, movement, meditation, and self-reflection) to cultivate personal wellbeing and connection to others. 

 

Wes Bruce (photo left) is a multi-practice artist, educator, poet, and designer known for large scale, site-specific installations and exhibitions, including his memorable 2013 MACC installation Taken By Wonder. He returns this summer for a residency in Schaefer International Gallery, to build a new space and to lead the Young Artmakers alongside gallery staff.

This offering is in conjunction with the exhibition Paper Water Wind, being held in the gallery from July 5 - August 20.
